From August 23 to 28, the 13th YERME Summer School (YESS 13) brought together young researchers and senior scholars from over forty European universities at the Universidad de Cantabria, Spain. YESS 13 was organised by the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (ERME), Young European Researchers in Mathematics Education (YERME), and the Open STEAM group from the Universidad de Cantabria. YESS, organised biennially, represents a platform for doctoral students to engage with experts, share research, and discuss methodological approaches in mathematics education.
The scientific program of YESS 13 featured plenary lectures, workshops, thematic working group sessions, and meetings with senior scholars. Meanwhile, the social program offered a guided excursion through La Magdalena and El Sardinero areas in Santander, allowing participants to explore landmarks.
